  • Sexy and slim design; improved full QWERTY keyboard; 2-megapixel camera; Bluetooth; enhanced media player; new spell-checker for e-mail and memos; audio technology that automatically adjusts call volume in noisy environments.
  • No integrated Wi-Fi or 3G support; camera still doesnt have video-recording capabilities; call quality sounded a bit hollow.
  • Though it doesnt bring Wi-Fi or 3G support, the BlackBerry Curve offers a best-of-breed design and a well-rounded set of features to make it an attractive device for consumers and mobile professionals alike.

  • Abstract:  RIM got hit with the 8800, and now with the launch of the 8300, the company is aiming at revitalizing its market presence. However, it would be unfair to compare the Curve based on the company’s other products. This time around, RIM made it very cle...

  • No Memory Card Provided, Memory Card not hot-swappable, No Protection for Camera lens and flash.
  • The Blackberry 8300 has a lot of customizations to offer. There are just three themes which are pre-installed, but you can buy more if you feel the need for more. The numerous options allow for a smooth navigation through the various applications. Sho...

  • Overall, this is a great phone. It has that one big omission, namely 3G, but it keeps the price down and battery performance up. If email is of prime concern, youll barely notice the difference. RIM has found ways of delivering email quickly using GSM...

  • Abstract:  mobile e-mail and media playback, but not many curves: Think BlackBerry and you probably think mobile e-mail. And rightly so. After all, BlackBerry has claimed mobile e-mail as its own territory, even though other devices, including Symbian phones and Win...

  • The first BlackBerry to combine a full keyboard and camera, the 8300 Curve doesnt have the visceral desirability of the Pearl - or the slab-like bulk of the 8800 - but it does have QWERTY and trackball, spell checking and competent multimedia in a sma...

  • Abstract:  Hot on the heels of the BlackBerry 8800 (see issue 153, p58), the Curve is RIMs consumer version of its latest design. Along with the curves, the 8300 has gained a 2-megapixel camera, although it struggles when faced with anything less than perfect...

  • Abstract:  A desirable form factor that doesnt compromise on usability. It doesnt take a marketing genius to note that RIMs BlackBerry devices have met with roars of approval from both business users and consumers. So its no surprise that, hot on the heels o...
