It's puuuuurty. The Pebble Steel's main goal is just to look more respectable than the nerd-toy it is
And it pulls that off wonderfully. Between the two bands included
It's easy to find the setup that works for you. And on top of that
The nice-looking
Elegant
High-end design
Easy to use
Customizable watch faces
Growing app store and feature set

Most of my quibbles with the Pebble are small
But they're magnified all the more considering everything around them is so stupid simple and good. You can't customize how long a notification stays on the screen

A classic, sharp-looking design; works with iPhones and Android phones; screen readable in bright daylight; swim- and shower-friendly; built-in pedometer for persistent fitness tracking; wide variety of quirky apps
Older technology compared to competition, onboard storage limited to eight apps at a time, still requires charging twice a week, lacks heart-rate monitor or more advanced fitness features
The competition is advancing fast, but the fashionable, functional, and more affordable Pebble Steel's conservative approach puts it at the top of the 2014 smartwatch heap....

Hundreds of customizations and apps, Coollooking, Sevenday battery life
Just receives notifications, Requires proprietary charger, May be a bit big for some wrists
The Pebble Steel (Est. $250) is not just a smartwatch that "tastefully marries high-tech with high-end looks," it's part of an ecosystem. With the recent launch of this model, Pebble opened the doors of its app store with hundreds of apps and custom watch...

Great, sophisticated/mature design, Solid build quality with quality materials, Two watch bands included, Fantastic battery life, Disguises well as normal watch
Not compatible with aftermarket straps, iOS notifications could be better, Materials and straps aren't ideal for fitness purposes,
So what's the final word on Pebble Steel? It's a fantastic improvement over the introductory model. If you were interested in the first Pebble but couldn't cope with its low-end, nerdy appearance, Pebble Steel is a fantastic option, so long as you're ...
