Abstract: It's not the size that matters, it's what inside your phone that counts. For proof, look no further than the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact. It essentially packs all of the same power and features of the 5.7-inch Xperia XZ2 into a palm-friendly 5-inch form factor...

The CompetitionIt's hard to argue against a compact flagship, mostly because no one else is making them. Sony was the first to offer a proper mini beast and it has been sticking to that niche ever since. But the new Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is not only a co...
Abstract: Like many other people, we have complained over the past few years about Sony's stale smartphone designs. We were concerned that the company just wasn't being smart about what consumers wanted. As its competitors found ways to make phones sleeker and more...
Abstract: Unlike many of its big-brand competitors, Sony didn't shy away from major announcements at MWC 2018. In fact, it took the wrappers of a shiny new pair of flagships, that boldly marry new design concepts with incremental hardware updates. In many ways, the...
Abstract: Sitting in its box, accompanied by a three-pin power plug, USB lead and a Getting Started document, the actual handset certainly looked impressive with its shiny lacquered coating. However while the initial impression was positive, the overall effect did...

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is, internally, a big upgrade on the XZ1 Compact, powered by the finest Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU money can buy. The camera is excellent, as is Sony support, which should see it getting regular upgrades. And the price is definite

The curved underside, too, also means it has a habit of slipping off of crowded surfaces. The XZ2 Compact is an undeniably solid handset, with a sharp screen, long battery life, smoother lines and a great specification for the money. Its styling has al...

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is a lot of smartphone for the money, with a powerful CPU/GPU, sharp and bright screen, and long battery life. While its aesthetics could be better, it's the device's weight, more than its fatness, that prevents it from getting...

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is a mini flagship you can actually use with one hand. Strong specs across the board keep compromises to a minimum
The design is dull as a paving slab, there's no headphone jack and the front-facing camera isn't anything to get excited about
The Sony XZ2 Compact's flagship-level performance and pocketable size makes it the phone to get if you want something smaller that doesn't skimp on the goodies...
