  • Abstract:  Samsung’s Ultra Edition series are all about ultra thin devices, but just as the 6.9 X820 stands out as being the slimmest candy bar handset, and the 12.9 D900 slider stands out for its feature packed specifications including a 3 megapixel camera, t...

  • Slim, 2 MP camera, MicroSD card slot, Good internal dislay, Multiple bluetooth profiles.
  • Un-ergonomic keypad, Uncomfortable grip, Poor battery life, No FM, A little expensive.
  • The Samsung D830 is bundled with all the necessary connectivity one would need for the day, but misses out on a few of the standard or should I say the outdated but still happening connectivity in India.

  • Ultra slim; good build quality; expandable memory slot; external OLED LCD display; startling vibrant internal screen; enhanced user interface with uMenu and uSearch features.
  • Difficult to flip open; keypad hard to use; no dedicated camera shutter and no photolight; no 3G; one proprietary port for headset, charger and USB cable.
  • Probably the least popular of the three Ultra Editions, the 9.9 is no less attractive but sacrifices in areas of usability.

  • Abstract:  I take a look at the Samsung D830 clamshell, which is the thinnest clamshell phone around at the moment, at under 1cm in thickness. Its really very thin (but the keyboard suffers, as you will find out if you watch the video). You can get it from here.

  • Slim form factor; expandable memory slot, external OLED LCD display
  • Difficult to open quickly; keypad; lack of flash
  • Samsung has really done well in the thinness stakes. It has managed to cram a whole bunch of features into an impressively compact package. Some sacrifices have had to be made, though, and the D830s keypad just isnt responsive enough. Unfortunately ...

  • 2-megapixel camera, TV output, Small but well-specified
  • Battery life, Call quality
  • Samsung has certainly upped the ante with its three-pronged bid to have the smallest, thinnest mobile phones on the market. The companys trio of Ultra Edition handsets all feature eye-catching designs, but the most notable mark on the specification sh...

  • Thin, 2 megapixel camera
  • Lacks any real design, keypad isnt responsive
  • A dated design and awkward to use keypad means this wasnt for us - if you must have Samsung and you must have thin, stick with the X820

  • Great display, decent camera, Bluetooth stereo support, decent music capabilities, Picsel document viewer
  • Poor keypad, extremely soft ringtones, pictures cannot be saved directly on memory card, battery life below average
  • Out of the whole Ultra series, the D830 might appear to be the most appealing. It turns out to be the most disappointing. The actual performance is nowhere near to the potential that we expected at the product announcement. We tested the X820 and D900 ...

  • Abstract:  Samsung's Ultra Edition series comprises a number of thin, sleek handsets that are designed to give Motorola and its RAZR variants a run for their money. We've already looked at one phone in the range, the D900 , a slider that Riyad reviewed back in Septe...

  • Abstract:  Can Samsung masters of the slider phone produce a quality flipper? and no we are not talking about a friendly dolphin! We checkout the latest offering from the South Korean giant to see if the change in form factor means a change in usability?
