  • Abstract:  The smartphone market is brimming with life and a lot is happening in the mid-range segment of the same. The high end players have clearly set the stage to cut short the market of the small players. Every brand is busy launching monstrous smartphones and ...

  • Shame we didn't think of it first. Facebook has 750 million users. And you don't actually need all of them. Oh well, some of them are obviously a bird, a rodent or a fish but that's not the point. All you need is to get a mere one percent interested in th...

  • Abstract:  With about ten gazillion users, Facebook clearly has its fans. About ten gazillion at the last count, in fact. Marketing a phone directly at this huge audience is logical, and if you're going to make a Facebook phone, why not put a Facebook button on it?T...

  • Abstract:  It is simply not good enough to churn out smartphones that are clones of other smartphones. Every handset needs an edge if it is to grab attention. HTC has recently come up with an edge in terms of a dedicated Facebook button, and has applied it to two ph...

  • The HTC Salsa is a solidly built smartphone with a good screen, reasonable camera, fine UI and an emphasis on social networking, thanks largely to its clever Facebook button. This latter will endear it to ’bookers, but otherwise it doesn’t stand out s...

  • The HTC Salsa provides easy integration with the world's most popular social networking service, but its ultimate appeal will depend on how much you use Facebook on a daily basis. The Facebook key is not a deal breaker, but putting that aside, the Sals...

  • Dedicated Facebook button,
  • No Flash support, disappointing screen.
  • The HTC Salsa is a nicely made smartphone, though the chassis is a bit iffy in places. The Facebook button is a bit gimmicky in that it doesn't offer anything new or special, but it does give you speedy access to Facebook features. ...

  • Fantastic integration of Facebook, Twitter and Flickr; really easy to navigate
  • The display can’t compete with that on the iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S II; the phone proves a tad slow and while Flash video is supported it is too jerky to play in browser
  • Facebook addicts who like to keep up with what's happening in their virtual social circle will love the HTC Salsa...

  • Here we are at the end of another exciting review, I have to say that during my time with the Salsa there have been some good moments and some annoying ones but my overall opinion is that it is simply a revisited handset with the addition of a facebook...

  • Well designed body, Interactive lock screen, Responsive screen and buttons, Glitch-free home screens, Clever Facebook integration
  • Laggy camera, Ugly HTC Facebook pages, Woeful onboard app memory, Earpiece volume too quiet
  • A very nice piece of hardware that performs well, but we shouldn't be running out of app storage space on day one...
