  • Abstract:  Panasonics home theater projectors have been one of the favorites here in CNET for their good representation of value and performance. This trend looks set to continue, with the PT-AX200 delivering a few interesting enhancements. Upside: This year, Pa...

  • Pluses, Design & handling, Video noise very well handled, Very good DVD upscaling to 720p, Quiet dynamic iris, 27.5 dB recorded when in operation
  • Minuses, Price a little high for a 720p projector, Matrix visible very occasionally, Uneven picture sharpness not great for office computing

  • Abstract:  The AX200 isn't wholly without appeal, as we'd expect of a Panasonic projector. Its pictures are bright (so much so that it can be used in ambient light), its colours are really vibrant and pure, and its images look unusually satisfying with most console games.

  • Simple set-up. Punchy, dynamic colours. Good contrast levels and insight
  • Not a Full HD spec. Occasional lattice effect apparent
  • So old it can get a free bus pass, but still great value and for the most part doesn’t show its age in any way ...

  • Remarkably low in price; excellent game mode; suffers no LCD chicken wire effect
  • Black levels arent great for movies; flawed dynamic contrast system; dark areas can look noisy
  • The AX200E isnt quite good enough at showing films to answer all the prayers of cash-strapped home cinema fans, but it certainly succeeds as a fun option for the more casual big-screen user, especially if theyre into console games ...

  • Abstract:  The PT-AX200E is one of the brightest 720p home cinema projectors weve seen thanks to its 2,000 lumens lamp. This extra brightness means the projector is more flexible than most. For example, you can enjoy films, sports and games in daylight withou...

  • Abstract:  The Panasonic PT-AX200E digital projector is ideal for viewing movies or for use as a ‘digital slide projector’. The powerful 2,000-lumen brightness and new Light Harmonizer 2 technology make it easy for people to enjoy vibrant, dynamic images, even i...
