  • PerformanceFirst comes the calibration and tweaking session with the menu. The menu system is superb. It has an in depth color management section, noise reduction options, black adjust etc. I used DVE Disc, Display mate and HCFR Colormeter software, th...

  • Excellent image quality, Very deep black and a good contrasted image, 3 HDMI and 3 SCART, Very complete menus, Extremely fluid image
  • No HD digital tuner, only a standard digital one, SD sources slightly lack sharpness (compensate for by adapting settings)

  • Excellent picture quality; connections galore; unusually helpful Blu-ray/HD DVD support
  • The pictures not especially bright; one word you certainly cant associate with it is cheap
  • Although the PDP-LX608D lacks the immediate impact of Pioneers smaller plasmas due to a slight drop in brightness, the longer you live with it, the more you grow to love its stunning black levels, ultra-rich colours, dreamy motion handling and class-...

  • HD picture quality, Excellent connectivity, Outstanding 1080/24p compatibility
  • Picture not the brightest, Price may put some buyers off
  • Necessity is the mother of invention, they say. And so as the extraordinary price erosion in the flat TV marketplace has made it difficult for even household brand names to compete, industry minnow Pioneer has opted to focus its considerable PDP expe...

  • Abstract:  Earlier this year Pioneer was well and truly on the skids. Profits and revenues were down and the company was struggling to make it in the plasma marketplace. This is despite the fact that the company has designed and built the best large plasma TV in...

  • Extra-terrestrial black levels, Amazing colour and detail, Surprisingly good analog tuner, Image processing is top notch
  • Some noise on PC input, Very laggy changing channels, Expensive, Too big for most rooms
  • The Pioneer PDP-LX608A is an amazing screen, and justifiably sits at the apex of the companys plasma range. ...
