  • Remarkably cheap, Looks slick, Plenty of set-up features
  • Pictures lack brightness, Some strange colours, Image retention

  • Abstract:  With LG focussing so much effort on its impressive slimline SL8000 LCD and upcoming LED SL9000 TVs right now, it would be easy to forget that the brand still makes plasma TVs. But when we spotted one of the those plasma TVs, the 42in 42PQ6000, selling onl...

  • Attractive styling; good picture quality; beautiful menus; easy to use; excellent sound
  • For the price, there's not much to moan about
  • The LG 42PQ6000's performance with high-definition content won't blow you away. That's not to say it's bad -- it's just that the lack of 1080p resolution means Blu-ray movies don't have the impact they could have. But we still utterly love this TV. Th...

  • Abstract:  Even by LG’s usual high-value standards, the 42PQ6000 looks like a bargain. For, despite boasting a screen that’s beautifully adorned with a glossy black bezel and ’single sheet’ glassy finish, the panel costs just £580. So what’s had to give to make ...
