  • Remote-control functionality will be welcomed by joggers and commuters alike. Radio is easy to set up and we cant criticise the lack of an AM option – no manufacturers seem to bother with this these days. We werent convinced by the headphones or the...

  • Adds a feature that should have been in all iPods; integrated well with the iPod.
  • RDS is flaky; only works with newest iPods; no record feature.
  • I had a mixed reaction to the iPod Radio Remote. It should work quite elegantly as the software is well designed, however, it was unreliable when it came to displaying RDS data on what channel youre tuned to. Its also disappointing that it isnt com...

  • Abstract:  There are other FM tuners available for other iPods, including DLO?s mini fm (for the mini only) and Griffin Technology?s iFM (models available for all dockable iPods). The Apple product, though, is the first to directly integrate the tuner?s controls ...

  • Easy-to-use. Favorite-station capability. RDS display on iPod. Needs no batteries.
  • Iffy reception on weaker stations. No AM mode. Only comes in white.
  • The Radio Remote is elegant and easy to use, but we expected better reception for 50 bucks.

  • Abstract:  Many MP3 players have built-in FM tuners, but not the iPod. That’s one thing it’s been criticized for, but Apple apparently has no plans to build in such a feature. The company’s US$49 iPod Radio Remote is designed to address the situati...

  • The Apple iPod Radio Remote adds FM functionality to dock-connecting iPods and takes the bulk off the design by using the iPods display for tuner info. The accessory also utilizes the iPods Click Wheel to offer handy radio dial-like functionality.
  • The Apple iPod Radio Remote plus headphones equals cord clutter. Because the remote plugs into the dock connection, it wont work with many iPod cases. Unfortunately, its also compatible with only the 5G iPod and the iPod Nano.
  • If you own a 5G iPod or an iPod Nano and cant live without FM radio, we highly recommend the Apple iPod Radio Remote. Price range: $49.99 - $59.99

  • Compact. Good reception. Easy to use.
  • Doesnt come in black.
  • Apple seems unlikely to ever build an FM tuner into the iPod, so this is the next best thing....

  • Abstract:  So, last week at MacWorld, in addition to the new Intel computers, Apple announced the FM-tuning iPod Radio Remote. This is the $49 USD add-on that gives your iPod the ability to play FM radio, ready to work with the iPod nano and fifth-generation iPo...

  • Abstract:  At last we get a radio for the iPod, the new bolt on Radio remote adds an FM tuner to any 5th generation iPod including the uber sexy iPod Nano. A sign Apple are listening or playing catch up?
