  • Trying to make iPod docks exciting is like putting mascara on a dog - it doesn't work (unless your a B&W Zeppelin). This, however, is the first we've seen to support two fully removable wireless speakers. Yep, those two cubes can be taken off and...
  • The Evolve is let down a bit by the sound quality. It's decent, nothing to write home about, but good enough - and in general the wireless link works well. We did get a bit of spotty performance during our test, but nothing awful.
  • Sound quality and the price aren't great, but how many iPod docks can put their speakers at opposite ends of the house? Exactly!Griffin Evolve is tagged with Griffin, battery powered, portable and iPod. Select a tag (Griffin, for example) to find ever...

  • Nicely made, very effective over long distances, can sound punchy and solid
  • Can sound clamorous, not the most explicit musicmaker

  • Wireless speakers and remote control effective at a long distance from base station, auxiliary input allows other devices to go wireless, simple set-up
  • Remote can’t browse playlists, can’t buy extra speakers without dock (yet), the antennae look vulnerable
  • We’re not excited by the Evolve’s features in general, but they’re adequate, and we are definitely excited by the wireless speakers. If room-to-room portability overrides a more fully featured remote control, or clock and radio functions...

  • Good design, great concept, simple to use
  • Sound is not fantastic, lack of remote control options
  • A convenient solution to get your music next to the pool or in the garden. But as a standalone system, the Griffin Evolve still has some way to go

  • Superb convenience, Attractive design, Long range, More speakers can be added
  • Sound could be deeper, Price quite high
  • Evolve. That’s a good name for these speakers.Gone are the speaker cables; instead, you get a base unit that beams music to the speaker boxes wirelessly. Two three-inch aerials do the beaming. Thanks to this clever development, you can take these s...

  • Abstract:  This set of wireless speakers from Griffin is one of the coolest audio products weve seen for some time. Each 140x140x140mm speaker has an internal battery that is charged when they are placed on the base unit. This means you can carry them around ...

  • Abstract:  It is no exaggeration to say that I. Love. These. Speakers. Theyre wireless speakers which can actually be used wirelessly, because they hold the power they gain when theyre based on the main unit. Its what iPods, and I, have been waiting for.
