  • Abstract:  <b>Spec:</b> Universal remote control, DVD/CD manager / digital multimedia receiver<br /> <b>Good:</b> Organizes up to 1,200 DVDs and CDs into categories such as genre; automatically retrieves DVD and CD information from the Internet; streams Internet radio; has refined TV-based interface; easy to set up; stable and fun to use.<br /> <b>Bad:</b> Little standalone functionality; DVD/CD changer support limited to a few Sony and Kenwood models; streams only one file format (MP3), from compatible Escient products; doesnt stream audio from networked PCs; doesnt support Rhapsody on-demand streaming audio service; lacks wireless networking; expensive.<br /> <b>Bottomline:</b> If you have a large DVD/CD collection and wads of cash, you cant go wrong with Escients DVDM-100 DVD and music manager, which supports up to three compatible DVD/CD changers.<br />
