  • Music lovers are not the only consumers of headphones; gamers are another category of consumers for whom headphones with special attributes are manufactured. We have reviewed a few such headphones in the past and this time we have something from Sennhe...

  • Detailed, Balanced, Light, Tough, Budget price,
  • Needs greater dynamism,
  • What did you expect for £17? We must admit we are pleasantly surprised. The Sennheiser HD 201 headphones are far from perfect, but they are likeable and, for the money, very competent.Sure, there are better headphones out there, and there are a few things...

  • I can strongly recommend these as casual headphones for work and gaming. If you are not too picky you could even use them as HiFi headphones. Great all round headphones and a bargain for the price. We gave the Sennheiser HD201 Headphones Review...

  • For making you fall in love with your record collection again, these Sennheisers are a remarkable feat and the IF design award is by no means excessive hype or marketing flannel - they really are that comfortable. Then you see the price of around £17 ...

  • The sound quality, the comfort, 3m cable lets you move around a room
  • dds bass but source needs own amplification; 3m cable and no take-up makes this a set for the home (competing with existing higher models)
  • For £17 on the street theyre excellent for home listening, while the existing HD202s do the same job on the move for £3 less

  • The Sennheiser HD 201 headphones are very comfortable to wear, and the tough construction will last over long-term use. Noise leakage is at a minimum, and the overall sound is balanced as well
  • The HD 201 headphones' cable may be too long for portable use, and the set doesn't come with a protective pouch for storage. Natural bass is lacking, and the maximum volume output is lower than most aftermarket headphones in its category
  • Though the ultra-affordable Sennheiser HD 201 headphones provide natural sound and capable performance, commuters may find the low volume output an issue when listening to music in highly trafficked environments.

  • The Sennheiser HD201’s are extremely comfy. Instead of sitting on top of your ears, the leatherette cushions muffle them, offering a sense of noise isolation, snugness and comfort.
  • The Sennheiser HD201’s lack sensitivity as well as bass. Although the volume on an audio device may be turned up, the same intensity and degree of volume will not be reflected in the headphones. Also, the bass is a little thin and lackluster. Also, for some reason these headphones like the letter “s.” Expect elongated hissing (‘ssssss’) sounds.
  • The Sennheiser HD201 is truly your common, no-frills, run-of-the-mill headphones. Nothing about the Sennheiser HD201 is extraordinary. The fit may be warm and snug, but the performance is nothing short of conventional. The volume’s sensitivity is just...

  • Abstract:  Sennheisers HD 201 is a full-size headphone, which means it uses a thick headband and large earpieces. The headband itself is made of rigid plastic with a thin "pleather" pad at the top for comfort for the crown of your head. Each earpiece is circuma...
