  • Typically strong animation and music, Multiplayer really opens up the experience, Series fans will love seeing the cast together
  • Singleplayer way too grindy, Menus are confusing, often unhelpful, Kinda short if all six players are kicking ass

  • Abstract:  An interesting mix of side-scrolling, loot hunting, multiplayer action, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is a different twist from traditional Castlevania games. Over the years, the Castlevania franchise has made a shift from exploring to loot hunting. ...

  • Castlevania: Symphony of the night gameplay, multiplayer capabilities,
  • User Interface, strange design decisions, initial camera
  • Konami has taken the best of the Castlevania series and repackaged it into a sweet package of hard-core, 2D side-scrolling goodness.Full Review:Remember a little game called Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? Remember playing all the way to the end...

  • Amazing 2D pixel graphics and artwork; main characters feel like they were lifted straight out of their respective games; coop play can be surprisingly fun, but only under the right circumstances.
  • Solo play is soulcrushingly difficult, while sixplayer teamwork gets too easy, too quickly; an incredibly steep difficulty curve, unbalanced bosses, severe repetition, and overall confusing design will make this game feel frustrating for all but the most hardcore fans.

  • While Castlevania: Harmony of Despair looks like other 2D Castlevania titles, there’s no denying the departure Konami has taken with this title. While the single player experience is decent (albeit difficult), multiplayer does show promise. Unfortunate...

  • Abstract:  by Jonathan H. Cooper, August 6, 2010 Since 1986, gamers have been obsessed with the exploits of the vampire hunting Belmont clan. There have been over 30 games in the Castlevania series, although not much has changed. 3D excursions aside, the series h...

  • Abstract:  Crossovers are totally in right now, and Konami won’t be left behind. They’ve done crossover Castlevania games before, and the theme recurs in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. The title is appropriately shortened to “Castlevania HD.” It’s one of the mo...
