  • Abstract:  Well, Square-Enix has managed to get me to buy the same game three times. Final Fantasy II has been released on the PS1, GBA, and now, the PSP. One would think that the average fan would stop at picking up one version of the game. Well, I’m a sucker fo...

  • Awesome visuals; great audio; nice to see something from my childhood revamped and looking sweet.
  • So-so experience leveling; uneven monster difficulty.
  • Great blast from the past, although the experience mechanics could be a bit better. Overall, 2D has never looked so sweet.

  • Abstract:  Give Square Enix credit -- in the month since Final Fantasy I hit the PSP, the company has fixed some of the originals problems in Final Fantasy II. Gone are the two-second load times when accessing the menu, for instance, and the infantile challenge ...

  • Abstract:  Rounding out Squares lineup of Anniversary edition re-releases, Final Fantasy II gets a nice generational upgrade to save it from the 8-bit cemetery.

  • Abstract:  Cutting through the darkness, a ball of light forms in the palm of a magician’s hand. Is he good or evil? His long nails and jewelry-laden horns might help you draw a conclusion. The fiery image fades into a quaint, once-peaceful town that’s b...
