Mods are endearing, Game is undeniably fun, Extensive and easy to use creation tools, Great online user community, Weapons are a blast
Very long loading times between races, Paper thin plot, Absence of any race tutorials, Feels unpolished, No performance modifying parts, Empty game rooms
Next comes the godlike “track creator”. You really get to play god with this little trinket! Sculpting mountains, making lakes, building tracks, throwing in traps and triggers, testing, debugging, laying more track, throwing in props, testing some more...
Overall, I’ve been impressed with ModNation Racers but because of the stupidly long load times for pretty much everything you do, I’ve knocked my score down a bit. There is meant to be a patch coming out to solve this issue, but it’ll need sorting soon...

Abstract: It's a tough year for racing games to make an impact. Gran Turismo 5 finally has a release date, Blur arrived with an intriguing Mario Kart/Project Gotham Racing hybrid feel, and Split/Second sent every building it possibly could plummeting to the grou...
Abstract: If it feels like there have been a lot of weapon-based racing games lately, then you're not alone. Between Split/Second, Blur and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, arcade racers are back in full force. Even with all of the recent competition, Sony's Mod...
Abstract: Around this time last year is when I first heard about ModNation Racers and the plethora of customization tools that it would provide. As someone who loves racing games, as well customization in games period, I was really stoked. I waited many mon...
