The editors liked
Basically everything about the hardware. The lightness
The thinness
The lovely screen
The front-facing speakers
The waterproofiness
The Snapdragon 801
The 3GB RAM. All that stuff is just great. We also like that it can power noise canceling earbuds
KitKat OS
Powerful processor
Good display resolution
The editors didn't like
In contrast
It's basically all software. Again. The skin Sony puts on just doesn't work very well. It slows things down
It makes things look worse
And it's less intuitive to use than stock Android. In fact
Thin and light, Waterproof, Sharp display, Speedy Snapdragon 801 processor
Mediocre battery life, Feels delicate
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is a stylish and powerful Android tablet, but aside from its razor thin profile, there's little to distinguish it from its peers...
Not a lot of tangible improvements, Likely to be pricey

The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet's processor is searingly powerful and copes well with games. It has a bright, vivid display and its razor-thin body can be taken in the shower without worry
It loses its battery far too quickly in standby mode. Huge bezels around the display don't look good and make the body needlessly big, and its slim design has resulted in the whole thing being a little flexible
While the battery is a concern, the Xperia Z2 Tablet is still a good-looking slate that's loaded with more than enough power for anything you're likely to throw at it. It's a good choice if you're looking for a more affordable iPad alternative with 4G LT...
Abstract: The tablet market is busier than it's ever been, but Sony's Xperia Tablet Z, with its waterproofing, minimalist design and super-slim frame, always felt like a unique prospect. While the impact of the Xperia Z2 Tablet is lessened by familiarity with its e...
Abstract: Sony Mobile has revealed its new smartphone and tablet offerings aimed at the high-end consumer – and in a media briefing on Tuesday, we saw that while the new Xperia Z2 phone and tablet are pretty similar to last year's releases, they're touted as upgrad...
Abstract: As a died-in-the-wool hard Apple fan, I did the unimaginable: I left my iPad and iPhone behind when I went to Germany for Gamescom, using only the Sony Xperia range of products. I not only survived, I might be slightly in love. The first thing I noticed ab...
Sony has come a long way since its first experimentation with unusual tablet designs. The Xperia Z2 Tablet is one of the best tablets we've seen to date and, like its predecessor, perfectly captures exactly how a tablet should feel: light, thin, and most...
Excellent Performance, Display has excellent colour quality, Thin and light, Dust resistant and waterproof
Expensive, Subpar camera
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet ticks a lot of boxes many users have been asking for in an Android tablet. It's thin, lightweight and very powerful. It's definitely one of those tablets that you wouldn't mind bringing with you everywhere you go.(previously pub...

Waterproof, Perfect screen for movies, Light, All day battery life
Expensive, No killer first/third party tablet apps, Big bezels = a very wide tablet
The Xperia Z2 Tablet has all the right numbers - 1920, 801, 6000. That would be enough if it wasn't for the fact that tablets win big on criteria you can't put a number on - how they fit into your life, what they allow you to do that your phone's simply t...
