The tablet's buttons are in the perfect locations-the Windows key is on the right side
Matching the location of Windows 8's "charms" bar
And the power and volume buttons are on the top edge. They're easily accessible when the tablet is being used as a "

I'm not a fan of tablet cameras (seriously
Shoot your vacation photos with something better) and the Surface 3's shooter is mediocre at best. Medium-brightness scenes photograph okay
But the sensor just falls flat on bright colors and surfaces. Meh
Excellent build quality, ingenious type cover design, beautiful screen, can function as a laptop or tablet
2GB Ram not enough, if you don't need a tablet you can get more for your money elsewhere, not the most powerful CPU, completely unupgradable
I've been using the base model of the Surface 3 as my daily driver for the past 3 months. It's beautifully crafted, decent to type on, and won't break the bank. However, the Surface 3, and especially the most basic model, has a few shortfalls...
Abstract: From low-cost Chromebooks to high-end hybrids, and the explosion of diverse, different-shaped Windows devices, there's a dizzying amount of choice out there for anyone looking to replace their laptop with something new. Fear not, though. We've reviewed th...
Quality build, Silent, Has an SSD, Excellent quality
Keyboard sold separately, CPU/GPU tandem not quite powerful enough, Few connections
The Surface 3 is a well-built convertible laptop-tablet that, when coupled with the (sadly expensive) optional keyboard, makes for a great user experience, provided s/he sticks to simple tasks (Office, internet browsing and light photo touch-ups)...

Well priced as a Windows tablet, Excellent display, Windows 8.1 without the noisy fan
Keyboard cover is not included, Browsing not as fast as Chromebook, Lacks the beautiful finish of an iPad
You can do with it as you please, and everything, apart from the low-power processor, has been future proofed for the launch of Windows 10. Of course how many of those naysayers haven’t already bought another tablet to surf on the sofa and stay in touch...

Abstract: REVIEW: Microsoft's Surface 3 goes on sale today [MICROSOFT]After a decidedly shaky start, the Surface range from Microsoft is now a serious contender in the tablet market. The US company launched the critically acclaimed Surface Pro 3 last year and now th...
Memory expandable to 128GB, 1TB One Drive free storage, Build quality robust enough for a few knocks, Packs full version of Windows, Stylus a great bonus, full USB port
Keyboard an extra, Quadcore processor still not the best
The Surface 3 occupies a very curious space in the gamut of smartphones, tablets, phablets and smartwatches. It is the srt of hybrid device that negates the need for atleast 3-4 gadgets from your bag in one clean swipe. Is it powerful enough? For day to...
Sturdy, inviting design, Light for a 2-in-1 PC, Attractive, high-resolution display
Feels heavy when used as a tablet, Disappointing performance, Expensive accessories
Like every previous Surface, the new Surface 3 is a device that pits its capabilities against its contradictions. Microsoft is absolutely correct when it claims the Surface line's functionality exceeds that of either a tablet or laptop alone. That hol...
Should you buy this? I have nothing against Surface 3 – indeed, as with Pro, there's some nice touches inside that Soviet shell that make Surface 3 a pleasure. It's up there, too, in terms of audio visual and, yes, it surfs the web well. Just, are such...

Keyboard, Storage, Price, Kickstand
If you want the cheapest and most portable Surface tablet money can buy for lightweight computing tasks, the Surface 3 fits the bill. Power-hungry users should consider the low-end Surface Pro 3 instead....
