  • Fast, high-quality prints; lots of fun features such as clip art and captions; per-print costs are in line with other snapshot printers costs; touch screen is easy to use and great for displaying slide shows; menus are logically organized.
  • Expensive; album options are a bit limited.
  • The HP Photosmart A826 snapshot printer offers an attractive design, is easy and fun to use, and works better without a PC than any other snapshot printer weve reviewed thanks to its huge touch screen, but we wonder who will spend US$250 for a dedicat...

  • Prints bursting with colour. Superfast printing speed.
  • The price gets pushed up when you factor in ink and photo paper.
  • Prints? Charming! That's what we think of the HP A826 anyway. This is royalty among printers....

  • Don’t even bother looking at the manual, this is the easiest photo printer ever made. If you can’t follow the simple touchscreen instructions to turn digital snaps into punchy little 7x5-inch prints, you probably haven’t got any fingers...
  • As you might expect, prints are a little more expensive than you’ll pay at Boots – but not much. Shop around for HP’s value pack of 6x4-inch paper and ink and you can get the price down to about 25p a print. Unlike most of HP’s pos...

  • Abstract:  Its a bit Dr Who, this one. Great screen, but not the best value. Although it can only print 6x4 and 7x5 inch photos, HPs odd-looking blue and white pod is only a little smaller than most of the A4 printers. One of the reasons for this is that it...

  • Abstract:  While the printing of photographs could be carried out using a basic inkjet or multifunction device, for increased functionality and ease of use you might prefer a dedicated photo printer such as the HP Photosmart A826 Home Photo Centre model. Despite...

  • Abstract:  The Photosmart A826 is a great little printer, particularly if youre interested in standalone photo printing. The ability to handle 18 x 13cm prints as well as 15 x 10cm is handy, but not nearly as handy as the touch-screen for selection and mark-up....

  • Abstract:  With a design straight from 1970s sci-fi, the A826 couldnt look much less like a thermal inkjet printer. Theres a USB socket round the back, but no PC is needed to select, edit or print - just use the excellent 7in touchscreen, memory card reader ...

  • Large screen, easy to use, good quality prints
  • Large for a compact photo printer, not the cheapest way to print pictures
  • Its like having a printing booth in your home

  • Abstract:  HPs Photosmart A826 home photo centre is bulky, but has some unique features. Its the only printer here to print 7x5in photos. Although its an inkjet rather than a dye-sub printer, even large photos showed virtually no trace of graininess. 6x4in ...
