  • Solid rails, Braided Cables all the way, Clean look, Quiet operation and good airflow, Quality components
  • I want a modular one of these
  • Well to be honest after using a modular I really expected to be biased against any non modular I looked at again but after testing this PSU I am not so sure no more. Don’t get me wrong I love the modular concept and will probably change back to modu...

  • 550 watts, Two 12V rails (totaling 38A), Impressive stability, Quiet, Excellent finish, Fully sleeved, Compact size, Native support for SLI and CrossFire, Lots of connectors and ample cable length
  • No active PFC, A bit pricey
  • Thermaltake has a real winner in the Toughpower 550W. This is just the first entry in the Toughpower series, and its impressive. But, if 550 watts isnt enough for you, there are Toughpowers in the works with up to 750 watts and modular cables will...

  • Abstract:  Back in the old days, for most people the power supply was an after thought when building a computer. Though having a good PSU has always been important, you really never had to worry about compatibility when it comes to power supplies. Power rating ...

  • Glossy Black Finish Sleeved Cabling Easy Installation Adequate Connections SLI Ready Solid Voltage Rails +/-3% Silent 120mm Fan
  • Limited availability at this point
  • Thermaltake has raised the bar once again with the newest addition to their power supply family. The Toughpower 550W is all that Thermaltake claims and more. With the well sleeved cabling and ample connections alone, this power supply has become one of...

  • Final Thoughts I must say this up front; I am very excited about ThermalTake and the new ToughPower Series. The power supply performed very nicely throughout all the testing and was never found overly obtrusive or lacking in power. I did like the pian...

  • Sleeved cables, Well packed, Powerful, Loads of connectors, SLI ready
  • Loud fan
  • This is a good power supply but there is a small flaw with it and that is the fan, the fan makes to much noise. It should be around 20dB but I dont think it is as I can clearly hear the noise from it even without being close. Otherwise it worked great...
