The Asus ROG Gladius strikes down the rest with fantastic performance at an excellent price. It delivers excellent ergonomics, a superb optical sensor, an amazing level of customisation in the software, and the freedom to manage your mouse at the hardware...
Slightly awkward thumb rest, Lacks higher-end features
There are even more little goodies in the box, too. A padded carrying case makes the ROG Gladius much more attractive as a travelling laptop peripheral, and if you find the 2m braided USB cable too long for such a use, it can be quickly detached and repla...
What ASUS has done here with the ROG Gladius is something that will hopefully become a possibility within future iterations of upcoming products. Every aspect of customizability that the mouse offers is indeed interesting but it also feels limiting in som...

Nice ergonomics for a claw grip, – S3988 sensor is a winner overall, – Great switches all around, – Swappable cables and user upgradeable switches are awesome features to have, – Carry case is a nice bonus
Lift off height could ideally be lower, – Textured sides are still not amazingly grippy, – More colour choice for the lighting modes would be a very welcome addition, – Only having two DPI settings is not really ‘premium grade'
So, the Gladius had a fair amount to do to show me it deserves the price tag, what are my thoughts? Ergonomically if you use a claw grip or a palm grip with smaller hands I think you will find this mouse very comfortable. It has curves in all the right p...
As we often do, we didn't read much about the product before starting this review. Yes we knew some of the basics but going in with minimal information always gives a closer experience to the one consumers will have. In that way, the Gladius immediately i...

High end Avago ADNSS3988 sensor is smooth and accurate, Replaceable teflon feet and Omron switches (with bundled alternatives), Two cable options in box, Some back end lighting and sensor options with easy to use software, High build quality
Back end software is a bit stunted compared to others, Missing features like weight customisation, RGB lighting and other backend profile and DPI options, Price is a bit higher than we would like.
The ASUS ROG Gladius is the kind of mouse that makes me not want to review a mouse again for a while – as I really like this one and want to keep using it. It is easily one of the most comfortable and effective gaming mice I have ever used and fits my han...
The Asus ROG Gladius is a well built, comfortable mouse that tracks smoothly and ships with extremely easy to use software that enables some handy sensitivity and function customisations. That said, you might have expected more customisation for your mone...

Great build quality and overall feel, Precise tracking, customizable sensitivity, Omron switches provide a great tactile feel, Swappable switches and USB cables, Good software experience
Not ambidextrous
The Gladius is a well designed gaming mouse with a great feel, precise control, and plenty of options to customize the experience. The software works as designed and allows for precise adjustment of dpi sensitivity. This thing can be incredibly fast (up t...
Simple & Comfortable design, Replaceable switches, Two detachable USB cables & carrying case, 6400 DPI sensor
Can only switch between two DPI's on the fly
All of the buttons are very responsive and of course the two main buttons use OMRON switches that are rated for 20 million clicks. The two side buttons are advertised as ‘slide-to-press', which means that you can slide your slide your finger over them for...
Honestly they are both great mice and I've been a long term Deathadder user and fan. I've bought two over the years and would give the Deathadder a gold award. Having said all of this and compared the two I would still give the edge to the Gladius to wi...
