  • Abstract:  The Maxtor OneTouch 4 essentially is a scaled down version of the OneTouch 4 plus, ie, it does not include the Maxtor SafetyDrill or the password-protected folder feature (Maxtor DrivePass) in it. It's encased in jet black, has one USB port only, and an external AC supply slot. No Firewire ports are included.

  • Abstract:  Maxtors OneTouch 4 Mini has a rubberised base to stop it sliding across your desk. As with Memorexs Ultra TravelDrive, a button launches its backup software, but, unlike the TravelDrive, the button can launch another program of your choice. The i...

  • The Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini is thin, stylish and elegant, and didnt run too warm during our testing. We were happy with this device, giving us a reason to store lots of data (for security and convenience purposes) on this drive. Keith Shaw, Network Wo...

  • Plenty of storage space, Speedy file transfer performance via USB 2.0, USB bus-powered convenience, Stylish enclosure fits easily into a pocket, Single-button backup/sync function,
  • No Firewire or eSATA support
  • Maxtor pushes the capacity and value envelopes once again with the OneTouch 4 Mini, thanks to a fast 2.5" drive platform and the ability of the drive to operate independently of an external power source. The OneTouch 4 Mini provides a stylish, compell...

  • Fast data transfer. 256-bit encryption. Can fit comfortably in a coat pocket. Five-year warranty.
  • SafetyDrill does not work with Fat32 drives, or Mac OS. Data can be shared, but not synced between Windows Vista and Windows XP machines. Extra power occupies two USB ports.
  • With a more robust software package than its rivals and a cheaper price to boot, the Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini remains the external hard drive to beat....
