  • Abstract:  Round-up Intel’s standard CPU cooler for the Core i7 family looks like a slightly bigger version of the cooler that we're used to seeing on LGA775 Pentium D and Core 2 chips. It works well at the standard speed but lets the side down when you start ove...

  • The Zalman CNPS9900 LED is definitely a great CPU Cooler. With its all copper construction and LED fan, it’s certainly a cooler not lacking in style. The installation too is not one to be faulted. Although the Intel installations require a backplate...

  • With the CPNS9900 Zalman puts itself to the top of our charts. They prove in an impressive way what they mean with "high performance". Unfortunately these high performance level are also part of the subjectively loud fan which rotates at 2200 rpm. The ...

  • Abstract:  Air-based CPU coolers have progressed as far as to practically reach their limits. The manufacturers find it very hard now to improve their characteristics further, yet new coolers keep on being rolled out. Why? Well, some firms do hope they can releas...

  • Abstract:  Video Review: The Zalman CNPS9900 LED CPU Cooler is fairly large measuring 94(L) x 140(W) x 158.5(H) mm and weighs 782g. So when transporting the case be careful, otherwise it might damage the motherboard and/or the CPU. The heatsink is 100% copper with a dual heatsink tunnel design which comes with 268 pure copper fines. These fins are connected to the large heatpipes which connect into a solid base. This solid copper base is extremely smooth which allows excellent contact between it and the CPU. Watch the video to find out more.

  • Abstract:  Before they go into making high end cases and water cooling kits ZALMAN was best known for their heat sinks. Today it seems ZALMAN has returned to its roots and produced one solid performing cooler. While it is a bit on the expensive side, you do get your money’s worth when it comes to cooling down..

  • Build Quality, Availability, Price, Looks Great, Fan Speed Adjustment
  • Suspect mounting solution (needs a backplate for the LGA1366), Cooling Efficiency
  • The Zalman CNPS9900 LED cooler can be summed up rather easily. If you in the market for a good looking and extremely quiet cooler and won't be overclocking and moving you computer around much, then this cooler should be considered. The cooler perform...

  • Abstract:  One advantage of this Zalman’s very open design, at least at higher fan speeds, is that it has a knock-on cooling effect on the components around it. The MOSFETs, VRMs, and X58 Express IOH (we can’t really call it a memory controller hub anymore with Nehalem..

  • The Zalman CNPS 9900 LED is definitely one of the best coolers to come from the Zalman camp. It was refreshing to see them take the classic flower design and add a new twist to it. We were amazed they took a single fan and accomplished a push-pull conf...
