  • Good overall color and contrast, Good feature set, Mighty 15x zoom, Excellent IS, HD recording, Excellent build
  • Noise at low ISO, Buttons are a tad small
  • A feature that the camera doesn’t mention clearly is the added functionality of it being able to capture video in HD. However the maximum resolution that the WB600 can record in is - 1280 x 720 (720p) at 30 fps. There is nothing to complain about here ...

  • The Samsung WB600, when released was one of the longest pocket zoom cameras you could get, packed an impressive 15x optical zoom lens into a pocketable camera body (Starting at an ultra-wide 24mm, the lens zooms all the way to 360mm equivalent) - prio...

  • Good quality 15x optical zoom, Great value for money, Manual exposure controls
  • Slightly thicker than some rivals, Images are noisy even at low ISO, Audio drops out in video
  • We also liked the fact that the full extent of the zoom is accessible when shooting video, despite the fact that there's a low operational buzz when adjustments are made. However, as a bit of a cheat, the WB600's audio drops out when zooming begins and th...

  • Wide zoom, shooting effects, build quality (except the mode dial is a little too easy to knock around), value for money
  • Noise issues, auto white balance throws out some cold images, HD video is soft, dark corners at wide angles
  • Pitched as a travel companion, there are better cameras out there, but we can't argue with the value for money that it represents for what is a wide range of functionalityKey specs12 megapixels, HDMI, Li-ion battery, SD, SDHC, USB...

  • Pluses, Versatile 15x stabilised wideangle zoom, Fast and reactive, in general and in P, S, A and M modes, Good overall picture quality
  • Minuses, Noise management could be better, Disappointing 720p HD video mode, Camera interface is a little limited for use in manual modes

  • Great lens quality and zoom range; manual exposure controls; good value for money
  • Average 720p movies; smile- and blink-detection modes could be better
  • Providing a massive zoom range and maintaining good image quality isn't easily achieved, but Samsung's done it with the WB600. The 720p hi-def movie mode might be slightly disappointing, but the stills are very good. The WB600 is one of the cheapest c...
