  • Origianal retro design, Easy to use, 720p HD video
  • Disappointing picture quality, lacks sharpness and sensitivity, Poorquality plastics, Terrible handling (zoom controlled with thumb), Tight screen viewing angles, Limited video mode (no zoom, mono sound etc.)
  • The I-10 is full of potential but just doesn't follow through. At first glance, you'll be easily impressed by its cool retro design, but the handling and picture quality are somewhat disappointing....

  • A low-cost camera which doesn’t offer anything out of the ordinary, but is compact and easy to use. Those wanting to progress should look elsewhere, though Overall ...

  • Abstract:  The Pentax Optio i-10 is a throwback to old fashioned SLR cameras when it comes to looks. Pentax has produced a very distinctive design that marks it out as different to other digital cameras. It has 12 megapixels and a 5x lens. Aside from the design ...

  • Pentax takes a typical modern compact and gives it a retro cosmetic makeover. If the idea appeals, so might the end product. ...

  • Great value; attractive styling and excellent construction; consistent good performance,
  • No zoom when recording video; some barrel distortion and pixel fringing; autoeverything approach may annoy more experienced snappers
  • Attractive styling, performance and largely automatic features raise this camera above the pack, at a price that seems like a steal...

  • Abstract:  Since the company was taken over by the Hoya Corporation in 2008, the future of Pentax's digital camera range has been a subject of some debate. It was generally thought that Hoya was primarily interested in Pentax for its advanced medical technology, and...

  • Impressive styling and finish; useful expanded-dynamic-range options; handy 5x wide-angle zoom range
  • Crude-looking interface; poor lens quality; can't use the zoom or autofocus when shooting 720p movies
  • The Pentax Optio I-10 is so well made that it makes you expect a much higher level of performance than you actually get. Instead, it ends up feeling like a budget camera in a high-class body. There are plenty of filters and gadgets to play around with...

  • Funky design
  • Poor image quality over ISO 200
  • The Pentax Optio I-10 looks great from the outside as its retro design looks fresh and new, different in a class where most competitors' compacts all appear the same. However, the overall experience is let down by the final image quality which, above ...

  • Retro appears to be the new "look" this season as Pentax has joined in creating a throw back feel to their ultra compact Optio I-10. The old style look is off set by new technology with 12.1 megapixels of resolution, a 5x wide optical zoom lens and a 2...
