  • Ultracompact, excellent macro capabilities, easy-access controls.
  • LCD washes out in bright light, noisy images when shooting at more than ISO 200.
  • Its LCD has issues outdoors and in burst mode, but this ultracompact 8-megapixel Pentax Optio A10 for the snapshooting set is easy to operate and versatile.

  • It's tiny, but it still manages to squeeze in a top-of the range 8-megapixels of resolution and a 3x optical zoom lens into its solid little body. Its design is typical of the range, but it's light enough to carry around with you, and with 24MB of inter...

  • Top-notch image 90 per cent of the time
  • Sometimes over-exposes images
  • Pentax make a whole range of point and- click cameras, but the stylish Optio A10 is the current flagship model in the compact line-up, and is a more than worthy holder of that lofty position. Its tiny, but it still manages to squeeze in a top-of the r...

  • Sleek and solid form factor is great for travel Discreetly integrated connector covers Large 2.5-inch LCD with plenty of resolution (232,000 pixels) Produced accurate skin tones Shake Reduction System helped reduce blur in standard shooting conditions ...
  • Soft images at 8x10 size regardless of ISO; camera really only useful for 5x7 prints or smaller. Images noisy above ISO 200; ISO 800 (only available in Candlelight mode) is almost unusable Overall image quality not up to 8MP image sensor specification....
  • On the surface, the Pentax Optio A10 would seem to be the ideal travel camera. With a small, solid, form factor, the A10 is perfect for stuffing into a travel bag or coat pocket and hitting the road. It also boasts a large 2.5-inch LCD with 232,000 pix...

  • Very good image quality with good light, Excellent metering, Reliable white balance, Excellent colour rendition, Image stabilizer, Excellent high resolution monitor, Extremely well finished
  • Compression too strong at the highest image quality, Sensitive to noise above 200 ISO, Underpowered Flash, Slow zoom and auto focus, Limited autonomy on a single battery charge
  • The Pentax Optio A10 is a very compact and light camera, offering an 8-megapixel resolution, a 2.5-inch monitor, and a 3X optical zoom that features an image stabilizer. Attention has been lavished on the aluminium alloy exterior of the Optio A10, with...

  • Abstract:  The Optio A10 ($350) is an ultra-compact 8 Megapixel camera with Pentaxs new Shake Reduction system. While some image stabilization systems shift an element in the lens, the SR system actually moves the CCD sensor around for the same effect. A s...

  • Abstract:  The 8-MP Optio A10 wont win any beauty contests, but it will barely cause a bulge in your pocket. Functionality comes first, and this super-slim shooter takes great-looking photos. Colors look accurate and images overall are crisp with good saturation...
