  • Here we are at the end of another review, I have to admit that I've enjoyed my time with this little camcorder which I think is due to it being something a bit different to what I'm used to. The problem with it though is that it hasn't grown on me at a...

  • Comfortbale to hold thanks to veritcal, 'pistolcam' design, Robust casing, waterproof to 3 metres, Nice finish
  • Navigating in the menu can be difficult, 40 mm focal length, Dual zoom range not very useful
  • As it's only waterproof to 3 metres, the CA100 isn't really designed for divers. However, it can still be used to film underwater footage in the sea or at the pool. It's easy to use, sturdy and shoots high-quality footage, but it's also more expensive ...

  • Waterproof to 3m, Good video and photo performance, Easy to use
  • No lens cap or HDMI cable provided, Some issues with auto functions, Awkward SD card slot placement
  • It might be a little pricier than the average pocket camera, but stump up the extra cash and Sanyo's gun-shaped Xacti VPC-CA100 will let you shoot video and photos of a much higher quality than its fellow pocket-friendly devices. It also provides a wid...

  • Waterproof, Stereo sound, Funky design, Solid-feel build
  • Awkward to achieve a steady image at maximum zoom, Fiddly cover for output ports, Still image resemble video grabs, Lens could be sharper
  • Pistol grip is love or hate, and pics could be sharper, but this is a convenient and stylish all-in-one

  • Abstract:  Sanyo's claim to be the world's first waterproof Full HD Dual Control camcorder appears to be true, but unfortunately the control system is so clunky to operate that many might give up before they can enjoy the benefits of the good quality underwater ...

  • Good overall video performance, handles well in and out of the water, consumer-friendly features
  • Buttons feel cheap and flimsy, doesn't float in water
  • The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA100 is a great option for anyone who requires underwater Full HD videos. Despite some minor design flaws, it remains an excellent all-round performer...
