  • The Cisco Flip SlideHD has both pros and cons. The main point is that its older and cheaper predecessors are far better than this one....

  • The 3in touchscreen is a great way to review clips, especially if there’s more than one person around the screen wanting to watch. The built-in memory means there’s no messing about with SD cards, and it focuses attention on not keeping all your clips on the camcorder all of the time. The pre-loaded software and built-in USB arm add a dash of simplicity, while an HDMI output means you can watch y
  • The 2x digital zoom still suffers in comparison with rival camcorders from JVC and Sanyo, and while the resolution is high-def, it’s not the Full HD of 1920x1080 but the slightly less detailed 1280x720. The addition of the 3in screen makes for a marginally chunkier profile, too. You can’t shoot stills either.
  • While the SlideHD is easy to use, and offers one-touch recording, it’s very bulky for a pocket-sized model. The 2x zoom isn’t smooth or long enough and we’d expect a pocket-cam to be more versatile and offer photo recording.Flip Slide HD is tagged with...

  • The Flip SlideHD brings new video-watching and recording features that are a step above other handheld video cameras such as Creative Technology's Vado and Kodak's Zi line. Hopefully, like other Flips, this device will shrink over time to fit into the...

  • Audioout at last! Large screen is viewable in direct sunlight.
  • Thick around the waist; expensive; no charger or HDMI cable; clunky interface.

  • Simple to use, Flip Share software supports Windows and Mac OS, 3" screen, Records 4 hours 720p (1280 X 720) at 30 fps
  • Relatively expensive vs. digicam, No optical zoom, Walking while recording can produce very jerky images, Battery not userreplaceable, Lens not wide angle enough for many indoor situations
  • Cisco's top-of-the line Shoot and Show camcorder featuring a 3.0" screen, simple operation, and up to 4 hours of recording time....

  • Familiar Flip design, easy to use, on board software is easy to use, shoots good quality video, shoots up to 4 hours of HD video. That is double the time the other Flip models can handle.
  • On board software is largely unchanged, on-screen buttons a bit harder to use than on other models, flip-up video screen and playback feels a bit like a gimmick to me (but the core functionality does not suffer as a result so it is okay), no way to w

  • Simple control and software, 16GB of storage, Good for previewing recorded footage, Capable, though not spectacular HD,
  • Unresponsive resistive touchscreen, Video and audio quality mostly unchanged, Possibly unreliable slider mechanism, Expensive for the category.
  • The Flip Slide HD is a solid product and, while certainly an evolutionary step, is one in the right direction. Nothing about the Slide HD is revolutionary, but we would definitely recommend it if you need high capacity or want a large screen to watch y...
