The 3in touchscreen is a great way to review clips, especially if there’s more than one person around the screen wanting to watch. The built-in memory means there’s no messing about with SD cards, and it focuses attention on not keeping all your clips on the camcorder all of the time. The pre-loaded software and built-in USB arm add a dash of simplicity, while an HDMI output means you can watch y
The 2x digital zoom still suffers in comparison with rival camcorders from JVC and Sanyo, and while the resolution is high-def, it’s not the Full HD of 1920x1080 but the slightly less detailed 1280x720. On board software is largely unchanged, on-screen buttons a bit harder to use than on other models, flip-up video screen and playback feels a bit like a gimmick to me (but the core functionality does not suffer as a result so it is okay), no way to w

Simple control and software, 16GB of storage, Good for previewing recorded footage, Capable, though not spectacular HD,
Unresponsive resistive touchscreen, Video and audio quality mostly unchanged, Possibly unreliable slider mechanism, Expensive for the category.
The Flip Slide HD is a solid product and, while certainly an evolutionary step, is one in the right direction. Nothing about the Slide HD is revolutionary, but we would definitely recommend it if you need high capacity or want a large screen to watch y...
