  • Compact size, Video quality, Price, Fast AF system, Easy to use.
  • Fiddly four-way jog button on LCD, Some handling foibles, Audio issues, Small EVF, Lacks manual focus control.
  • The HG10 provides great video quality and a set of excellent features. But it has a few issues that let the side down and certainly, you should get your hand on one of these to try before you buy after all, stubby fingers might not be an issue for you!...

  • The Canon HG10 camcorder has excellent image stabilization and generally great video quality.
  • Poor audio control; smallish EVF; some annoying ergonomics; no manual focus dial.
  • A solid hard-drive based HD camcorder, the Canon HG10 nevertheless has its share of annoying quirks.

  • Abstract:  So what, in the end, did we think about Canon’s first HDD camcorder and their first AVCHD camcorder in our labs? Simply put, we are very impressed. Canon has taken the camcorder industry and made it theirs this year. It doesn’t try to compete...
