  • Swivel stand, Good HD (720p) performance.
  • Average display quality for Standard definition, Ineffective Noise Reduction mechanisms.

  • Brightness/contrast, Color, Price
  • Detail/sharpness, Slightly blurry feel
  • PerformanceWe started off by checking what preset modes were available, and we noticed Cinema, Standard and Dynamic. Cinema, my favorite, displayed warm, slightly washed-out images with a sepia feel, which no doubt works well for movies. Dynamic proved...

  • Energy-efficient. Good picture contrast.
  • Only one HDMI input. Default settings produced vertically stretched picture.

  • Attractive, simple remote control. Side ports (HDMI, SVideo, and composite) make hooking up a 360 or camcorder a breeze. Optical digital audio outperfect for tying into that massive dormtheater sound system.
  • Some video processing issues. 1366 x 728 native resolution makes it a notsogreat computer monitor unless youre over 40 and want to read without your glasses.Screen Size: 26 inches Resolution: 1366 x 728

  • Three HDMI inputs, optimized game mode
  • Not the best off angle viewing, some inaccurate colors
  • While the retail price of the Samsung LN32A450 32-inch LCD HDTV remains just over $1,000, the set can be found online--as well as a major big-box retailers--for considerably less. If youve been putting off getting a second flat panel set for the den ...

  • Produces relatively deep blacks; accurate, well-saturated color; numerous picture controls; comprehensive connectivity; stylish design with hidden speakers and swivel stand.
  • Somewhat expensive compared with entry-level models; awkward picture preset arrangement; some detail loss with 1080i sources.
  • Solid picture quality propels the Samsung LN32A450 LCD to the front of small-screen class.
