It looks sumptuous, the My Home Screen interface makes using the set's Smart TV services easy, and bright images look terrific.
There aren't enough video streaming services, and even the application of a local dimming engine can't stop the set's handling of dark scenes feeling clumsy
The L55DT65 is a marked improvement over last year's DT series, thanks to some excellent bright picture handling and a superb user interface. It's a shame it struggles more than we'd like it to when the going gets dark, though....
