  • Between a solar charge, hand crank and AAA batteries, you're out of excuses for having a radio that doesn't work, Glow in the dark bits around the solar panel and a built-in LED light are nice touches, User-selectable switching between AAA batteries and rechargeable NiMH pack.

  • Abstract:  The Eton FRX3 aims to be that one indispensable product for campers, those without power, or those in distress. At its heart it’s an AM/FM radio which can also pick up NOAA weather alert bands. But as the crank on the front suggests, it doesn’t need ...

  • Charges any 5V device, doesn't require the grid for power, builtin LED flashlight
  • 1minute of cranking gets 2.5minutes of radio and probably only a few seconds of juice on your smartphone
