  • Neuros, Streaming, Numerous formats supported, iRecorder, Design looks a bit like older iPods, Cheaper at £100
  • Neuros, Struggles to record from HD sources, iRecorder, Ugly GUI, Cheap build, Limited connectivity
  • The Neuros wins hands down!

  • Network access, input connections allow any playable source to be recorded, open source, regular firmware updates, YouTube video streaming
  • Menu basic and clunky, remote control not precise, options can be confusing, takes careful set-up
  • With the Neuros OSD it is a case of identifying your particular need and this device might just meet it

  • Abstract:  No miracles, but a simple way to make reasonable copies of your videos. The easy way to rip your vids? The Neuros OSD is built around a simple premise: copying videos should be easy. Remember when you used to tape vinyl records onto cassettes? Its a...

  • Limitless functions - so long as you download more open-source software. Rips DVD and TV efficiently
  • OS is grim. You won’t use most of the functions
  • Are you reading this on a touchscreen Linux tablet? You’ll probably love the OSD. But for the rest of us this is a fiddly, pricey way to rip DVDs to chip ...

  • The Neuros OSD has a lot of potential, but doesn't quite deliver enough to make it worth the asking price. It does what it says on the box, but unless you're not too concerned with video quality, you still cherish your video-cassette collection, or you do...
