Opportunity to centralise and de-clutter charging process, convenience, good compatibility with support for iPods, iPhones and other devices simultaneously, choice of stylish colours, Apple approved.
Will be overkill for those who have few gadgets, slightly plastic feel, relatively expensive, still requires to be plugged in for charging, rubberised tray does not sit securely. Min specs: iPhone, iPod touch, hundreds of devices.
