  • We don’t normally fawn over titles like this, but when a developer steps up to the plate and gets everything right, they deserve praise. At it’s core Soulcalibur IV is an great-feeling fighter. Surrounding that core are some minor bells and whistles lik...

  • Abstract:  There is just something about playing Soul Calibur that makes me extremely nostalgic for the Dreamcast. Call me crazy, but there’s just something about the experience that makes me fondly recall my initial introduction to the series there. Perhaps it ...

  • All in all, Soul Calibur 4 is a good game, although not completely what I expected from the first jump to the current generation of consoles. While a good game when standing on its own, I still feel that the Star Wars crossover was unneeded. Sure, Sou...

  • As I have stated before I am a huge Mortal Kombat fan and was not excited at all about reviewing this game. After playing for about an hour I quickly forgot about my feelings and become a huge fan. You have so much to do with multiple game modes. I fou...

  • Star Wars fans will love playing as Yoda, Darth Vader, and the Apprentice. Online is great for current Soulcalibur fans to enjoy.
  • The game sure has slowed down in comparison to Soulcalibur IIs speed.
  • While it isnt the best fighter to come out in 2008, it does a lot of things well enough to keep fans happy and intrigue new-comers.

  • Abstract:  Namco has been making 3D fighters since the inception of the PS one. Gamers were first wowed by the Tekken series for its accessible game play; with deep enough fighting styles that would make any master of the series humble a rookie as well. Then we w...

  • Abstract:  Namco took the phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” to heart as they made SCIV, as the same great weapon-based fighting game engine pretty much returns unmolested, offering very fun action with responsive controls. The thing about Soul Caliber...

  • Abstract:  SoulCalibur IV doesn’t stir up the pot too much, offering mostly the same gameplay as previous entries. Fortunately, the franchise has it down to a science, and the addition of online play further sweetens the deal.

  • Abstract:  Soul Calibur IV is a strong fighter, but its edge is beginning to dull.
