  • Overall, the AMD Kabini 5350 is a pretty good SoC if you want to assemble a computer for very less money, the fact that you're likely to be able to upgrade the SoC in the future adds to its advantage.Gadget DealsRecommended in this category50Envent ET-IP4...

  • Abstract:  That the fastest processors are currently made by Intel is not really a secret, but what is the best choice when you want to spend up to £ 50, £100 or £150? To answer that question we conducted a megatest of 57 current AMD and Intel CPUs. From two to...

  • Taking into account the Asus motherboard, this score drops a little... The board is cheap and cheerful. As for the chip, it is fantastic, it handles 1080p perfectly and would likely play back media at 4k at a push!

  • Abstract:  AMD recently introduced us to its Mullins and Beema APUs, which are architecturally similar to Kabini and Temash, but include some power and performance enhancements. We take an early look at a custom form factor and compare to Intel's best effort. When...

  • It might come as a surprise but performance-wise, Kabini isn't a disappointment. As we said earlier in the review, AMD has stated that it's not out there to compete with Kaveri or its range of CPUs; its more akin to improving the stakes at the lower en...

  • Great value for money, Cheap supporting motherboards, Decent everyday performance, Good as a HTPC or second machine
  • Graphics core rather stunted
  • AMD's decision to offer the Kabini APU in desktop socketed form is a wise one. Four Jaguar CPU cores are more than capable of handling everyday applications used by millions of people - indeed, they're pound-for-pound better than the Steamroller cores fo...

  • When I was asked to write about AMD's new AM1 platform, I wanted to do more than just collect benchmark numbers. I wanted to get a real-world sense of Kabini's capabilities beyond the mobile environments it was originally designed to serve. I surfed the W...
