Amazing screen, great camera, good call quality
Unreliable data connections, poor battery life, sluggish user interface
The 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display is extremely bright and vivid, and performs exceptionally well in sunlight compared to other display techs, Verizon's 4G LTE is fast. I experienced anywhere from 1020Mbps down in a variety of locations, with consistent sub100ms pings, Battery life: it doesn't suck (I'm looking at you, Thunderbolt). Expect a full day's use without worry, It is one goodlooking
TouchWiz 3.0 is slow, buggy, and in no way improves the user experience. With TouchWiz 4.0 coming on the Galaxy S II (and being exceptionally fast), one can hope the Charge will get the bump to TW4 when it receives Android 2.3, If you live in a 3Gonly coverage area, the Charge has a tendency to drop your data connection for no apparent reason and you have to reboot to reacquire it. Is the Droid Charge better than the Thunderbolt? Is this the device that's leading Verizon Wireless's smartphone lineup? In many ways, the device is a marked improvement over the Thunderbolt and in some ways, it is beaten by the Thunderbolt. Right now, it...

The ThunderBolt opened our eyes to LTE on a smartphone, but its voracious thirst left us unable to recommend it to anybody other than early adopters. The DROID Charge by Samsung, however, is a far more balanced device, with plenty on its own to recomm...
The Samsung Droid Charge has a gorgeous Super AMOLED Plus touch screen. Verizon's 4G LTE data speeds are superfast, and the smartphone offers longer battery life than the HTC ThunderBolt. Call quality and camera quality are also good
The Droid Charge is large. It's also pricey, especially considering it doesn't have some of the latest features, like a dual-core processor
It's not the prettiest or most advanced smartphone, but the Samsung Droid Charge takes advantage of Verizon's great 4G data speeds, while offering decent battery life.
But let's talk about the battery for a minute: Our tests with the Droid Charge came at an interesting time -- namely, Verizon's 4G network was in the dumper, and still kind of touchy. (So much so that Verizon delayed the launch of the Droid Charge because...
