  • General usability and finish quality, Screen: responsive, good contrast and accurate colour reproduction, Responsive, Decent battery life
  • Less memory, Performs the same as the Wave I but costs more
  • The Wave II doesn't bring anything new that the first Wave didn't have already. The only real differences are a larger screen and less memory. Like its older brother, it's fast, responsive and intuitive and offers a decent multimedia performance. ...

  • My final verdict on reviewing the Samsung Wave II S8530 is that it's an excellent smartphone. I don't see any reason not to buy it. If you don't mind not getting an Android phone, the Wave II S8530 is the way to go. It is the perfect successor t...

  • Outstanding workmanship, Above average equipment, Convincing value for money ratio
  • Almost the same hardware as its predecessor, Small app availability and thus limited expandability, Partly mulish browser
  • Samsung Wave II GT-S8530After the predecessor had set the expectations quite high, the Wave II GT-S8530 brings them back down to earth. Beside the larger screen and a new version of Samsung's own operating system, the successor hardly has anything new to...

  • There is no reason why at £244 the Samsung Wave II S8530 shouldn't be top contender for your next mid-range smartphone. Yes, it may not have a widely accepted mobile OS and the benefits that come with it but on its own, the Wave II is a very good smar...

  • It's a nicely built phone, and looks very much a part of the stylish Samsung family. It doesn't look out of place against other premium Samsung offerings, like their Omnia 7, aside from the oddshaped central button below the screen, The screen is bigger
  • It really hasn't changed much since the original Wave, and although what's now available on a Bada phone has increased a lot since its release, it's a minnow compared to the Android and Apple whales.

  • The Super Clear LCD capacitive touch-screen is bright, colourful and makes the Samsung Wave II a joy to use...
  • It may be growing, but the Samsung App Store is bare enough to put off potential interestLook and Feel...
  • While Samsung’s perseverance with Bada is admirable, we can’t see the Wave II outselling Samsung’s Android-powered smartphones ...

  • Very good camera, Solid metal construction, Rich support of video and audio codecs
  • No ambient light sensor for automatic adjustment of screen brightness, bada 1.2 browser still doesn't support Adobe Flash 10.1
  • As for the calling capabilities, the Samsung Wave II performs very well. It doesn’t have dual mics for noise cancellation, but the single one does a commendable job at filtering out the background noise coming from around you. The earspeaker is loud en...

  • The connection quality is above any criticism, the ringtones are loud, but vibration is not always felt. The loudspeaker on the top is an advantage when the phone is used from the pocket, but it is a problem at times: if you put the handset upside dow...

  • I will not dwell on issues of connection quality and signal reception, because my sample had no problems with it. The loudspeaker of Wave 525 sounds great and sometimes can even be too noisy if you choose an annoying and loud ringtone. The speaker is ...
