  • Abstract:  As we mentioned earlier in the week, SlashPhone received a Nokia 5230 Nuron for review. After giving it ample play time, we’ve come to a stable conclusion about the handset, and we can safely say that while the device has its limitations, we’re sure th...

  • Free Ovi Maps GPS navigation. Very inexpensive for a true smartphone. Sharp camera. Excellent video recorder.
  • Typing is tough on the resistive screen. OS sluggish and buggy in spots. No Wi-Fi.
  • Despite issues with the Symbian OS and Ovi Store, the Nokia 5230 Nuron is a solid value for T-Mobile subscribers looking for smartphone power on the cheap....

  • Simple & swift interface, Responsive resistive touchscreen, Great video recording quality, Good calling quality, Strong battery life, Flash Lite 3.0 Support
  • Below average 2megapixel camera, Cheap feeling plastic, Poor video playback capabilities
  • Struggling to get a foothold in the US smartphone market, Nokia has finally brought a carrier branded S60 5th Edition phone with the Nuron. It's definitely the right direction that the veteran phone maker needs to tackle, but the Nuron only skims the s...

  • The Nokia 5230 Nuron has free maps and voice-guide navigation via Ovi Maps, 3G, and excellent call quality, all at an affordable price. It's also the first Nokia smartphone with a U.S. carrier to offer access to the Ovi Store.
  • The Nuron lacks Wi-Fi and a document viewer. Its user interface is clunky and confusing, and we wish it had a capacitive touch screen. No flash for the camera.
  • The Nokia 5230 Nuron for T-Mobile isn't the most advanced or fastest smartphone on the market, but budget-conscious customers will find an incredible deal here.

  • Good looks, great call audio, sweet video recording
  • Inconsistent UI, poor 3G reception
  • I really like the design of the Nokia 5230 Nuron that T-Mobile offers. It is a nice looking phone with a nice display and great call audio quality. The lack of good 3G reception worries me greatly since there is no Wi-Fi support, and the constant user...
