Abstract: When touchscreen phones came along they heralded the end of physical keypads, including phones such as the LG Rumor 2. But for those who still love the feel of physical buttons beneath their fingers and have about six hundred texts to send in 10 minut...
Abstract: Got another LG phone to look at today–specifically, the LG Rumor2–and it won’t be the best phone we’ve seen out of LG. It won’t necessarily be a bad phone, but it’ll be lacking in a whole lot of senses. The LG Rumor2 is a slider-style cell phone that o...
Improved keyboard, Threaded text messaging, GPS navigation, Good call quality
No 3G data, Doesn’t support Sprint Music Store or Sprint TV, No video recording option, Expensive for its features
The $49.99 LG Rumor2 is a compelling device for messaging fans, and we like the enhanced keyboard and e-mail support. Having GPS onboard is another plus. Overall we prefer the Samsung Rant because it offers 3G data and a better interface for the same p...
Abstract: LG consistently produces some of the best-sounding, most intuitively ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing cell phones available. But for some reason, the company has failed to bring the revised Rumor 2 completely up-to-par with its most immediate Spri...
Solid build quality, great battery life, excellent keyboard and email features
Boring user interface, no video recording, lackluster music player
The LG Rumor2 is a nice compact messaging phone, with both an easy to use numeric keypad and a comfortable QWERTY keyboard. The dedicated number row and smiley button on the slide-out keyboard are definitely appreciated, and the email support - both f...
Abstract: The original LG Rumor, released in late October 2007 by Sprint, sold well. It was an affordable texting phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, good looks and a sturdy build. 1.5 years later, Sprint and LG Rumor have released the Rumor 2. The new mode...

Improvement over the original LG Rumor. Better keyboard, better interface. Nice, advanced e-mail app. ...
Havent we seen this before? Lacks 3G. Few fun or new messaging options, like Facebook or Gtalk. Ineffective Web browser. ...
The LG Rumor2 is a sequel to one of the original compact messaging phones with a full QWERTY keyboard (check our comparison of recent compact QWERTY phones here.) The LG Rumor2 gets the design part mostly right, but ironically fails to keep up with t...

The LG Rumor2 has an easy-to-use design with a vibrant display and a spacious keyboard. It offers solid call quality and extensive e-mail and messaging support.
With a low-res camera and no 3G support, the LG Rumor2 offers no improvements over the original Rumor other than the support for corporate e-mail. The navigation controls and numeric keypad buttons are slick, and the e-mail syncing is unreliable.
The LG Rumor2 is a great option for a messaging phone, but LG missed the opportunity to make it both new and improved.
