  • The world's initial impression of the LG G5 was that the phone's modules would make or break it. After spending multiple weeks with the phone and seeing module support dwindle, the modular design means nothing at all for the G5. This is yet another phone...

  • Improved battery swap system, Beautiful, high-res display, State-of-the-art processor, LG's awesome manual camera controls
  • Flawed industrial design, Extremely dim always-on display, Wide-angle camera is more gimmicky than useful, Modular "Friends" accessories aren't very good
  • The G5 isn't a "bad" phone in the big scheme of all available Android phones. But despite a great display, awesome camera controls, and an improved battery swapping system, it's still notably flawed. $689 unlocked...

  • Abstract:  The LG G5 is one of the hottest phones of this Spring, and marks LG's first flagship phone release of 2016. Given LG's pedigree of phones released last year, how well does this one stack up to those, and the competition as well? Samsung's Galaxy S7 is sel...

  • Modular makes a comeback, Amazing primary camera, Amazing wideangle camera, Outstanding performance, Futuristic design, Replaceable everything, LG Friends, Potential for more modules
  • Needs more polish in manufacturing the bottom slot, Why are the chamfers so sharp?, Microdized treatment feels like plastic, Aging concerns over paint finish, The display is dimmer than average, Inconsistent battery life
  • Just like the first iPhone didn't allow third-party apps, only connected to EDGE data speeds, and had terrible reception, every new product that intends to be disruptive has a long road to that success. The LG G5 may bring a lot of controversy to the ta...
