  • Light, practical size, WP8 is slick, Decent camera, Fast, Good edge definition with video
  • Average sound quality, Colour lacks punch, Poor battery life, Lacking in apps
  • It's more practical than the Lumia 920 but, crucially, doesn't perform as well in the key areas of audio, video and web browsing. Still a decent addition to the initial WP8 roster, but we expect better will come from HTC and Windows. Follow whathifi.com...

  • Abstract:  As its imaginative name suggests, the HTC Windows Phone 8X is one of the company's first smartphones to use Microsoft's latest mobile operating system. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was another Lumia phone - the colourful and seamless design with i...

  • The 8X is a convincing Windows Phone 8 handset. Granted it's a bit big, but it's nothing like as massive as the Nokia Lumia 920. The screen is very good and as crisp as an Iceberg lettuce leaf dipped in liquid nitrogen. The handset is rock solid too, tha...

  • The Windows Phone 8X is definitely the best all-round Windows Phone 8 device. Beats Audio is a great feature for the music and media lovers whilst the slim profile and build will suit most users. The tapered edges of the smartphone make it easy to hold an...

  • Abstract:  HTC's big rival in the Windows Phone 8 space is Nokia with its Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 . It's interesting then that HTC's flagship smartphone is priced at around £400, the same as the Nokia's lower-spec 820. See also: Group test: what's the best Windows p...
