  • Good quality hardware, Switches on in around 10 seconds, Very practical keyboard, Sensitive, accurate trackpad, Four days of battery life
  • No 3G/3G, Not much room for customisation, Web browsing: better, but still not perfect, Mediocre camera, Not much internal memory

  • The Blackberry 8520 is without doubt a decent device. I think it will have a limited market though as it is lacking a few features compared to the Curve 8900, however the new trackpad may just swing it for some people. Im sure that the network provid...

  • Abstract:  We’d all love to own a top-notch smartphone, but with all those advanced features, iPhones and BlackBerrys don’t come cheap. Either you’re paying hundreds of pounds for the phone up-front or you’re saddled with a long-term monthly that will eventually ...

  • Good price, Excellent QWERTY keyboard, Great email support
  • Lacks 3G, Light on features, Disappointing camera
  • The BlackBerry Curve 8250 is certainly a little light on features, with 3G and GPS the most serious omissions, but the phone still manages to rise above these limitations. It's the combination of its excellent email features, long battery life and easy to...

  • Emailing and messaging, still the best around, Optical trackpad, Dedicated music buttons
  • Disappointing web browsing experience, Poor quality camera, Overly-complicated menu system
  • Despite a couple of obvious flaws, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is still up there with the best when it comes to email and messaging, proving itself to be a more-than-able media player and social network hub as a bonus.

  • Despite its svelte appearance, the QWERTY keypad will appeal to regular texters and emailers.
  • We still await a camera on a BlackBerry that can be described as being ‘above average’.
