  • Watch movies in 4K so they appear clearer and sharper than those in HD, providing you have a compatible TV the Apple TV can handle both Dolby Vision and the HDR formats so no matter which 4K TV you have, you'll be able to play the shows and movies, If you
  • There are no apps for All 4, My5 and ITV Hub instead, you need to play these on your iPhone or iPad and use AirPlay, Doesn't come with a HDMI cable you'll need to purchase one separately
  • The Apple TV 4K is a TV streaming device that's worth investing in. Simple to use, it can display 4K content on any Ultra HD TV and there's a good choice of services available through it. It features Apple's voice assistant Siri and can be even be used as...

  • Excellent SIri integration. She never misunderstands what I say. The app-based approach to television is a winner, even if it's just a bit ahead of its time right now. A refreshing interface that is at once both new and familiar
  • App Store discoverability is a mess. Search in general across tvOS can use a lot of improvement. Lack of dictation support is frustrating. Launch week apps and games leave something to be desired. Very few outstanding apps and games available right now
  • The new Apple TV is the best digital media player I've ever tried. That being said, it's hindered by a lack of quality apps and games, and some frustrating search capabilities. However, all these problems are easily resolvable–and quickly. As the weeks go...

  • Abstract:  It's now 16 months since Apple released the fourth iteration of its Apple TV, and in that time I'd love to say that it has come of age, with new applications making it a must-have presence underneath your television. I'd like to say that – but in truth, a...

  • App Store, Siri integration
  • Onscreen keyboard is torturous to use, limited genrebased listings on App Store
  • We had such high expectations for the 4G Apple TV that we have to admit to being a little disappointed with it on launch day. However, many of our main complaints seemed easy to rectify, and updates to tvOS and the Remote app have indeed resolved several...

  • So that is pretty much Zwift on Apple TV. We've got a new input device, which the team are working to refine. There is a discussion about tweaks to the interface, which would be useful. In the current beta version, the remote is functional but isn't perfe...

  • The new Apple TV is the best Apple TV Apple has ever made. It's also the best digital media player on the market. That being said, it's a brand new device that is negatively affected by some launch-day hiccups. The lack of Categories in the App Store make...

  • These two offerings seem to occupy different camps. If you want an all in one unit to watch TV and movies on, one that has a traditional interface and controller, then the Apple TV is a solid choice. But the lack of catch-up TV will be a drawback for some...

  • After the rather good but, AirPlay aside, quite inflexible previous-gen Apple TV, Apple has pulled out all of the stops for this model. Adding an App Store makes a huge difference and will ensure that the product can evolve quickly, with new services comi...
