  • Good call quality, Helpful notifications, Handy Smart Relay feature, Good battery life, Attractive color options, Strong Bluetooth connectivity
  • Expensive, Screen not lit all the time, Works only with Galaxy Note 3 (for now), S Voice integration could be better, Gmail and Google+ notifications too vague, No official Facebook or Twitter apps
  • The Samsung Galaxy Gear delivers notifications, a camera and voice calls to your wrist, but the high price and limited smartphone compatibility are turnoffs....

  • The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is attractive, comfortable, and makes it easy to see incoming calls
  • A lack of e-mail and social network support, limited compatibility with other devices, the external charging case, and hit-and-miss voice control seriously limit its usefulness
  • Samsung's take on the smartwatch has some potential, and it does get some things right, but its inability to perform truly "smart" functions means it falls far short of expectations.

  • Abstract:  The Galaxy Gear's display uses the same kind of technology in the Galaxy S4 to allow its backlight to flick up simply when you move your arm into what it assumes is a looking position. This is twitchy a lot of the time, and an easy way (as we discovered) ...

  • Battery life is good and doesn't impact the phone battery life too badly, Looks good and is lighter than a standard watch, Convenient to control music
  • Very limited functionality when not connected to phone via Bluetooth, Cost, Notifications don't provide enough detail, Screen is off by default to conserve battery, Limited device compatibility
  • The Galaxy Gear is a good idea and a well-executed first attempt by Samsung but its usefulness and appeal is limited. Currently only Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 owners can use it with more Samsung phones to come in future, but if you don't use a newer Sam...
