  • Excellent screen, Android and apps

  • Abstract:  Whether the Archos 5 IT is a full-on tablet is debatable. What isn’t is how fluent it is multimedia-wise. With Android Market support, this PMP could shine.

  • Beautiful design; impressive display; add-ons provide an unparalleled experience
  • Pricey; many Web videos wouldn't play; features that come standard in comparable products are absent; unreliable Wi-Fi
  • Archos charges too much for too little with the standard Archos 5. To be competitive in 2010, all of this media player's optional extras should have come standard. ...

  • Large, gorgeous screen makes it arguably the bestlooking media player on the market. At 6.4 ounces, it's barely heavier than your cellphone
  • Android runs dogslow when it's not crashing. 32 GB doesn't feel like enough storage for a highdef movie device. (Heavier, bigger, harddrive versions are also available.) Touchscreen is badly botched, which makes typing incredibly frustrating

  • Abstract:  The Archos 5 Internet Tablet appears to be an attempt at snagging some of the market share held by popular multi-use devices such as the Zune HD and the iPod Touch. It boasts a number of qualities that make it stand out from the rest of that market. Ke...

  • The Archos 5 Internet tablet has a large screen which gives you good experience in video quality, photo viewing and gaming. This device can be paired with cell phone for internet usage. Bluetooth pairing is fast.
  • There is IM but not voice chat which makes it incomplete. No voice chat support, locating places on GPS is slow, flash not supported for internet (further versions of Archos 5 Internet tablet support flash), awful music quality.
  • The Archos 5 Internet tablet has more of negatives than positives. It was made simply to compete with the iPod touch. The features are same as iPod touch minus the phone but the feature quality is nowhere comparable. The features are all half served li...

  • thin, light, well made, great screen, runs Android apps on a 4.8″ screen,auto-rotate function works great
  • Archos’ piece-meal pricing practice is not only annoying but makes the device much more expensive than it originally appears, buggy and crash-filled, basic functionality not available out of the box, no access to Andros Market, the inability to play...

  • Good touch interface, Great media experience, HD and SD video output with optional dock, Access to apps from the Android Market
  • Poor GPS navigation, Browser doesn’t support Flash, Device gets hot after only a few minutes of use, Limited number of Android apps available
  • This top-notch portable media player has a big screen for surfing the Web and enjoying (some) Android apps.
