  • Pro Mode is fantastic, great setlist, up to seven players at one time,
  • Some framerate issues, cost upgrading your instruments to play pro mode.
  • MTV Games and Harmonix has brought us the next step in their rock game legacy with Rock Band 3. Rock Band 3 expands on the previous version of Rock Band by giving us the new pro mode, which allows players to play the instruments and chords just like ...

  • So, instead of ending this with a recap of the past seven pages, let’s finish this off with an anecdote, because I’m in that kind of mood. So, as I always do when a new Rock Band game comes out, I got “the band” back together. Myself, J. Rose and Shaw...

  • Excellent track list; filtering songs is a breeze; keyboard is a great addition; Pro modes are fun challenges; career mode is smoothly integrated.
  • Pro Guitar peripheral feels cheap; odd bundle choices; not nearly enough songs with keyboard support.

  • Abstract:  At GDC and E3 this year, developers behind music games showed off what they had to offer for gamers who have shown themselves to be increasingly sick of plastic controllers and fake drum sets. Some developers made the safe bet to just offer good mus...

  • Better than ever graphics, menu controls, gameplay, and intuitiveness. The keyboard kicks it up a notch as well as the addition of the Pro instruments. This isn’t the Rock Band of yore for the kiddies,
  • Replay value could drop after awhile once the initial thrill wears off. New instruments are pricey.
  • Rock Band 3 has taken the rhythm game genre and turned it on its ear. They have improved the overall graphics, gameplay, career mode, and cut scenes. The addition of the Keyboard just shows how this video game franchise has been able to grow and chan...

  • Abstract:  Still rocking after all this time. Before we even begin this review I want to make it clear that we DID NOT have access to two of the major bullet points for Rock Band 3; the new instruments and pro mode. Working in this business sometimes you have to m...

  • Pro guitar and keyboards will turn gamers into real musicians really. Set list is full of unexpectedly excellent instrumentation. Keyboards are surprisingly fun, even in legacy mode. Smart new additions to interface and career mode.
  • Pro guitar trainer could be more userfriendly. Pro guitar and keys could be prohibitively challenging for players with no music experience. Set list may prove too varied for players interested in specific genres.

  • Superb organization lets you rock out unimpeded, Keyboard is exciting and fun to play, Vocal harmonies are great, Tracks your progress and doles out regular rewards, Great 83song setlist.
  • Keyboard is pricey, Only peripheral available for Pro Guitar is expensive and imperfect.
  • When it comes to living-room rock, nobody does it better than Rock Band 3....

  • Rock Band 3 is a tough one to judge. If you don't have any downloadable content, then the experience isn't nearly as robust or interesting. And if you don't buy the new keyboard or Pro Guitar, well, then it's just more Rock Band. Not that there's anyth...

  • Abstract:  It’s time to hit the stage once more with a living room full of plastic instruments. While there was The Beatles: Rock Band last year, the team at Harmonix and EA Games didn’t come forward with a true sequel of sorts. This year is different, because ...
