  • Certainly not for everyone, but if you can forgive it its aged approach, there are some delightful touches to be found here. Just not in the graphics department. 6.7/10Print this pageComments (0)Share this pageNoticed something wrong? Report error/mist...

  • Abstract:  During the holidays, we set aside the stress of the rest of the year and trade it for fun, fantasy and a well-deserved break. This season, Game Republic (makers of 2007’s beautiful, if flawed, fantasy action RPG, Folklore) brings us Majin and the Fo...

  • Abstract:  Huge and hulking, the Majin is a fearsome monster. With a back the size and shape of a boulder and teeth like blunt tombstones, he's an imposing figure. Able to swat away shadow warriors with his giant, stone-carved fists, he has limbs like mossy tree ...

  • Good musical score, inventive puzzles, interesting story, budget price. Computercontrolled ally rarely needs any babysitting.
  • Uninspired gameplay mechanics. Boss battles are hitandmiss. Combat isn't very deep or challenging. Occasional backtracking. Voice acting for the woodland creatures is just plain awful. Although Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom borrows quite a lot from other, better video games, the art and execution are still a praiseworthy effort.

  • Lots of great environmental puzzles, Lovely visuals and music, Fun, interesting boss battles.
  • Backtracking gets monotonous, Shallow action, Central relationship never deepens.
  • Simplistic combat and tedious backtracking don't fully diminish the pleasures of this attractive and festive fable....

  • Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom tells a sad but clichéd tale with an endearing giant and his friend at the helm of it. This “puzzle platformer” won’t give you too much of a problem as the solutions are simple, but finding every collectible in the world ...
