  • A seamless blend of the series’ trademark puzzling, exploration and combat gameplay in a neat new package.
  • Isometric camera occasionally plays tricks on you. Story and voice acting is bare bones at best, cringeinducing at worst. Online coop missing at launch.

  • Abstract:  Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is an ambitious project. As a non-canon entry in the Tomb Raider franchise, the game breaks with the series’ history in myriad ways, a move that’s sure to surprise and maybe infuriate some fans. But somehow, the dev...

  • Abstract:  I have grown accustom to downloadable games being an extremely quick but enjoyable adventure. Something that can be beaten in the span of a single night and never played again; that is unless friends are over and want to check them out. Lara Croft and ...

  • Abstract:  by Brian Rowe, August 16, 2010 It’s about time Lara Croft got a facelift. Ever since Chronicles, it has been apparent that the Tomb Raider series wasn’t sure which way to turn, which might explain the constant retcons and design changes. This time aro...

  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a great adventure, especially if you're playing co-op. Despite the silly story and dialogue, I had more fun with it than any Tomb Raider in recent memory. With a great new look, clever puzzles, and loads of fun s...

  • Abstract:  Writing this is going to make me feel old, but here it goes: Lara Croft has been raiding tombs for some 14 years. In over a decade of adventures she’s seen her highs and she’s seen her lows (Angel of Darkness, anyone?). Over the past few years, devel...

  • Abstract:  Lara Croft: Return to Awesome.Lara Croft has been a disappointed woman. We've certainly heard it before: a re-imagining of the series, a fresh chance for Lara, a reboot of the franchise, and still others in a string of broken promises. This time around...

  • Abstract:  Once upon a time there was a large-breasted adventurer named Lara Croft. Her adventures were so popular that it spawned movies, comic books and a slew of sequels, reboots and remakes. Unfortunately, audiences quickly tired of predictable quests and t...

  • Focusing less on her tight tops and short shorts, Guardian of Light lets Lara Croft do what she does best: kick ass, collect treasure, and decipher brain-bending puzzles. The addition of co-op and several other game-changing tweaks only serve to complemen...

  • Very good in singleplayer, even better in co-op, a mode that this game reclaims the definition of. Great value for money.
  • Thin plot. Occasional stuttering animations.
