  • The pause menu's kind of neat, Decent voiceacting, When the credits finally roll
  • Shooting/spellcasting that's awkward and repetitive, Horrifically glitchy and tedious stealth sections, Haphazardly slapped together, nonsensical story

  • There’s so much wrong with this game that we don’t have space here to list them in shorthand form, never mind elaborate beyond that. Unless you think ten minutes of baffling hilarity is worth £50, steer well clear. 2.4/10Print this pageComments (0)Shar...

  • To put it bluntly, I'm not a developer, and if I'm able to easily point out loads of programming errors and AI glitches, it's obvious that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 needed more time in production and a heavy amount of polish. Being a...

  • Abstract:  As Harry Potter enters his seventh year at Hogwarts, but doesn’t actually go to the school, and takes on his superhero-esque journey to kill a seven sectioned ultra mega boss that threatens to end both the wizarding world, and the real world (which is ...

  • Abstract:  Making video games out of the Harry Potter series was really a bit of a no-brainer. The magical themes and the near-universal appeal of the series as a whole meant that it was a guaranteed seller no matter how the games turned out. Unfortunately this m...

  • Abstract:  As Harry Potter matured over his years at Hogwarts, so has the story’s overall tone. Starting out as a lighthearted childrens’ adventure, it eventually became a dark tale of death, revenge and a fight for survival. The games have mimicked this dark tr...

  • Gameplay is fun for the most part.
  • character models and voice acting, Occasional bad camera and bugs, Little attempt to capture spirit of source material.
  • While the third-person shooter aspect of Harry's latest adventure can be fun, the game's story elements fail to live up to those of its literary namesake....

  • Abstract:  The most disappointing thing about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is that it fails to capture the essence of the story it's trying to tell. While the revamped third-person shooter gameplay stays engaging throughout most of the campaign, th...

  • Solid voice acting, passable graphics.
  • Stiff character animations, awkward combat system. Obvious, noticeable glitches are evident throughout the game. Shallow sidequests are used to artificially lengthen the sparse, edited narrative. Gameplay really could've benefited from a headsup display. Recycled soundtrack is incredibly overbearing in certain levels. Playing Kinect missions can physically hurt due to necessary repetitive motion
