  • A fun 2-D blaster with a unique control system, interesting levels, and a levelling-up element that will keep you coming back again and again
  • Some of the more modern graphic effects can overpower the rest of the game, making it frustrating at times. And although it is fun to play in short bursts, it's unlikely you'll want to play it hour after hour.

  • Brand new single-player ‘Galaxies’ mode, addictive as gaming can ever be, new control method fantastic
  • Doesn’t look quite as sharp as the 360 version, uploading high scores a real hassle
  • The same old Geometry Wars addictive goodness, complete with tonnes of extra modes, makes for a must buy

  • Classic arcade shooting at its best, Great range of enemies, Addictive, flowing gameplay, Translates perfectly to DS controls, Leaderboard functionality, Wii and DS communication
  • Using the gamepad is better than the Wiimote
  • Geometry Wars Galaxies DSPre-Order: £9.99 (RRP £29.99) The Wii version certainly looks the better in widescreen and 480p progressive scan display, but due to the smaller screen of the DS version it means the action is easier on the eye and I was ther...

  • Abstract:  Geometry Wars first appeared in Project Gotham Racing 2 as an extra – a little mini-game that quickly developed a following. Geometry Wars has gone through a couple of iterations but strangely enough it was the DS version of Geometry Wars Galaxies whe...

  • Abstract:  Geometry Wars: Galaxies gets its Wii-on with some novel controller-based results. Ultimately though, its back to the twin sticks of the classic controller to get the best out of this shooter.

  • Top-notch gameplay, exciting multiplayer, huge single player campaign.
  • Gut-wrenching spawn-fragging.
  • An excellent casual shooter that remains intense. It isnt good for hours at a time but is damned fun for months to come.
